It will return with an upgrade to become one of the largest in Japan!
This year's event will be held on all floors of OR TOKYO in Miyashita Park, Shibuya, Tokyo!
Music, free CBD product experiences, panel talks, and other contents will be available.
This is a special day for cannabis events in North America and Europe.
Come connect with hemp culture, CBD, and music lovers from around the world and enjoy 420 here in Tokyo.
Background
420 (Four-Twenty) is a slang expression for cannabis.
It originated in the early 1970s when California high school students would meet in front of a statue every day after school at 4:20 p.m. for the purpose of smoking cannabis, and April 20 is considered Cannabis Day worldwide.
Currently, cannabis is becoming increasingly popular worldwide, and more than 40 countries have approved the use of cannabis for medical purposes, but it has not been positively accepted in Japan.
Cannabis has been an object of worship in Japan since ancient times, and was originally a plant that took root in people's daily lives.
Therefore, TOKYO 420 Festival has planned a wide variety of contents to provide a place to reconsider whether the current rules in Japan are good for us.
We look forward to seeing you there.
What makes Cannabis so attractive?
Entertainment
Connecting with people in daily life.
Cannabis has become a new taste alternative to alcohol and cigarettes.
Each variety offers a different aroma and relaxing experience, and can be smoked, eaten, or drunk.
As more and more people feel lonely and anxious with the development of the Internet society, it is attracting attention as a tool for social interaction.
Well-being
The power of Cannabis to protect health.
CBD and other cannabis-derived ingredients have been approved by the WHO and are being introduced in medical institutions as a treatment for epilepsy.
It is also distributed as health food and cosmetics due to its expected effects on diseases such as improvement of anxiety and insomnia, and alleviation of skin and muscle inflammation.
With the aging of the population and the expansion of healthcare needs, it is expected to become a functional material that contributes to people's health.
Sustainability
Natural materials for a sustainable future.
In recent years, as the SDGs have become increasingly popular, the importance of creating a sustainable society has been emphasized.
Cannabis, as a natural material with low environmental impact, is beginning to be further utilized in various fields such as vegetable protein, biomass power generation, clothing, building materials, and biodegradable plastics.
With the social trend toward preference for organic products, the consumption behavior of Cannabis products will contribute to the global environment.

Cannabinoids are not limited to CBD products such as CBD oil, but are also found in parts of sunflowers, moss, and cacao.
